Washing an off the shoulder ball gown.

1. Fill a basin with cold water: As tulle is delicate, avoid using hot water as it may damage the fabric. Fill a basin or clean sink with cold water.

2. Add a gentle detergent: Add a mild detergent specifically formulated for delicate fabrics to the cold water in the basin. Follow the instructions on the detergent bottle for the appropriate amount.

3. Submerge the gown: Carefully submerge the gown in the water, gently swirling it around to ensure it is fully soaked. Avoid vigorous or aggressive movements that could cause damage to the tulle or glitter detailing.

4. Gently hand wash: Using a soft touch, gently massage the gown with your hands, focusing on any stained areas. Be cautious when handling the delicate tulle, and avoid scrubbing or wringing the garment.

5. Rinse thoroughly: Once you're satisfied with the washing, drain the soapy water and refill the basin with clean, cold water. Rinse the gown by gently submerging it and swishing it around to remove any remaining detergent.

6. Remove excess water: To remove excess water from the gown, carefully lift it from the basin, supporting its weight, and allow the water to drain off. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric, as tulle is prone to stretching.

7. Lay flat to dry: Find a clean, flat surface and place a towel or clean white cloth on it. Gently lay the gown flat on top of the towel, shaping it to its original dimensions. Smooth out any wrinkles or folds, and leave it to dry naturally. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, as they may damage the tulle or cause the glitter to fade or flake.

Storage and care conditions.

The best way to care for your dress is to hang it in a cool, dry place. We recommend using an airtight bag or container, such as a garment bag or a clean pillowcase, and placing it in a closet or on a shelf.
If you'd like to store your dress in the original box it came in, we suggest laying the dress flat on top of some tissue paper and laying the box lid on top of that so that no folds are present.
