Washing a layered tulle bal gown

1. Fill a basin with cold water: Avoid using hot water, as it may damage the fabric. Fill a basin or clean sink with cold water.

2. Add a gentle detergent: Add a mild detergent specifically formulated for delicate fabrics to the cold water in the basin. Follow the instructions on the detergent bottle for the appropriate amount.

3. Submerge the gown: Carefully submerge the gown in the water, gently swirling it around to ensure it is fully soaked. Avoid vigorous or aggressive movements that could cause damage to the tulle or glitter detailing.

4. Gently hand wash: Using a soft touch, gently massage the gown with your hands, focusing on any stained areas. Be cautious when handling the delicate tulle, and avoid scrubbing or wringing the garment.

5. Rinse thoroughly: Once you're satisfied with the washing, drain the soapy water and refill the basin with clean, cold water. Rinse the gown by gently submerging it and swishing it around to remove any remaining detergent.

If you'd like to store your dress in the original box it came in, we suggest laying the dress flat on top of some tissue paper and laying the box lid on top of that so that no folds are present.
